    Latest News
    Sep  1, 2011 We are now using the new FreeToastHost site at http://38.toastmastersclubs.org. We will remove this site as soon as be backup all the pages for our long history, as the First Toastmaster Club in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, The Commonwealth, and the Rest of the World outside of the 'lower 48', USA.

    May 3rd was our 2011-12 Club Election night. The following members were elected by acclamation:
    President => Brian  Dodd
    VP Education => Debbie Rachar
    VP Membership => Anne Morris
    VP Public Relation => Mattew Lee / John Yang
    Secretary => Monica Powell
    Treasurer => Brad Rachar
    Sergeant at Arms => Tooraj Radaei
     

    Apr 19th we held our annual St George's Day at "Birds of Paradise" at 4291 Glanford Avenue at 5:00pm
     

    We presented our awards to Aprils Atkins for winning our club's International contest and the St. George's Day Trophy, to Debbie Rachar our winner of the club  Evaluation Contest and the Club Evaluation Award. Many other awards are due to be presented to other members of our historic club.

    Mar 15/11 Our very own Clara Yan will be representing our club as the Area 1 Governor for 2011-12. This is the third year in a row that our club has filled this District 21 position. We all know you will do a terrific job Clara, and if you need advice you can always ask April and Judy.

    Mar 5/11 A sumptuous celebration was held by the girls of Judy and Georgia's Youth Leadership Program at the Bruce Hutchison Library in Sydney. Victoria's own Toastmasters International President, Pat Johnson was the guest of honour. She told them that the lessons they had learn over the last eight weeks will stay with them the rest of their lives, and the friendships. I am sure we will hear from them again they all did well on the video's that were made of their interviews or 'commercial'. Congratulation girls from me your Videographer, Brian.


    Oct 16/10 Our 75th Anniversary Celebration was a terrific success. Thanks to Maryse and her team for all their hard work.

    Most grateful thanks to all our guests for sharing the occasion with us.

    Thanks Johnson, DTM, IP our keynote speaker for such an inspirational message; and the Vic High Rhythm & Blues Band for their lively music.

    Congratulation to Brad Racher for being our representative in the Area 1 Contests in the Humourous Speech and Table Topics. He came in Second in the Table Topics Contest.
